Zaterdag 23 mei zijn jullie weer welkom in Y2 bij Silophone Session #21, the 2nd anniversary edition met openingsact de saxophonisten Korhan Fitacı en Barış Ertürk.

Deze multidisciplinaire improvisatie jamsessie is vrij toegankelijk voor deelnemers (musici, dansers, spoken word artists etc) en publiek.

Toegang is gratis maar een donatie voor de openingsact is altijd welkom. 

De deuren gaan open om 15u. De openingsact de saxophonists  Korhan Fitacı en Barış Ertürk begint om 15u30. Om ongeveer 16u30 begint de eigenlijke, jamsessie. Deze duurt tot ongeveer 18u30.

Two master saxophonists from Istanbul with years of shared experience, Korhan Fitacı (alto sax) and Barış Ertürk (baritone sax) bring a rare level of depth and intuition to the stage. Having performed together for a long time, they play with the ease and tension of musicians who know each other’s instincts inside out.

The duo becomes one body, shaping dramatic textures through fearless virtuosity. Baritone and alto saxophones collide, converse, and dissolve between raw, hard-edged power and soft, atmospheric subtlety, occasionally colored by kaval, flute and small percussion.

Their improvisational interplay grows into complex forms and melodic structures, creating a live experience that’s both electrifying and intimate. A captivating set perfectly suited for intimate club audiences seeking adventurous, high-caliber improvisation.
