Vrijdag 7 november va 20u30 zijn/waren jullie al welkom bij John Dorr met zijn “minimalist analogue electronics, drone and expressive experimental guitarplay”.
Krap drie dagen later, maandag 10 november, zijn jullie weer welkom bij een geheel ander muziekgebeuren, nl het optreden van Elepharmers.
Dit is een Sardijns heavy-psych, stoner space-rock trio. Zij brengen “impressive guitar riffs, psychedelic solos, powerful grooves and hard-blues vocals” naar Groningen.
De deuren gaan open om 20u. Het optreden begint ergens tussen 20u30 en 21u.

Formed in Cagliari, Sardinia, Italy in 2010, Elepharmers consists of Guido Solinas aka El Chino (guitar, vocals, bass), Andrea Cadeddu (lead guitar) and Maurizio Mura (drums). Their sound is strongly influenced by their native land: sunny and unspoiled plains, wild coasts, mysterious megalithic sites, ancient forests. Always placed in the stoner genre, the roots of it’s music lay in the metal, thrash, grunge and hard rock of the 70s, 80s and 90s: the trio’s sound is driven by powerful downtuned guitar riffs and drum grooves, bluesy vocals and a free-sounding lead guitar.
Elepharmers have toured in Italy, Germany, Switzerland and the Netherlands. They played in important festivals like Duna Jam and shared the stage with bands like Karma To Burn, Red Fang, Mars Red Sky, Electric Moon, Spacelords and many others.
Due to covid Elepharmers suspended concert activity throughout 2020 and 2021 while continuing to write new material.
In 2022 they resumed playing clubs and festivals. In November 2025 they tour to promote their latest album.
Until October 2025, the band has released three albums: “I’m Weird Tales From The Third Planet” (Go Down Records, 2013), ”Erebus” (Go Down Records, 2016) and the space-rock concept ”Lords of Galaxia” (Electric Valley Records, 2019).
In October 2025 the band’s fourth album, “Western Wilderness” has been released by Electric Valley Records. This new album marks a return to the roots, to a sound closer to stoner and desert-rock.
They will play Monday November 10 at 8:30pm at Y2, Damsterdiep 299. Doors will open at 8pm.
